Hiking in Immenstadt

Discover the Allgäu...

Enjoy nature while you hike in Immenstadt. Almost 200 km of hiking trails await you in Immenstadt im Allgäu. From easy up to difficult tours lure you up into the mountains and reward you there with wonderful views and incomparable nature panoramas.

We appreciate the feeling of freedom, of untetheredness and the closeness to nature as much as our guests - we like roaming through the Allgäu nature and enjoy the time outdoors. Three of our favourite tours we present to you here:

From the small to the big Alpsee | ca. 8 km | Easy hike

The start of this tour is our campsite at the Großer Alpsee, on mostly asphalted roads we start a tour around the Kleiner Alpsee. Apart from the background panaroma of the nature park Nagelfluhkette, both lakes offer a marvelous view in every season. On the way are plenty of opportunities for resting and refreshment. This easy hike is also very suitable for families with prams.

Gschwenderhorn – Bühl-Immenstadt | ca. 15 km | Medium hike

The round tour starts at the Immenstadt im Allgäu graveyard. From there, you walk alongside the wildly romantic Steigbach up to the wooden chapel which is more than 100 years old. On the well-built alpine and forest roads, you walk uphill with beautiful views of the Steineberg and the Nagelfluhkette, across the Alpe Seifenmoos to the Kemptener Naturfreundehaus (1440 m, restaurant and accommodation). A forest road leads you to the Alpe Große Starkatsgund (before that, a detour to the Gschwender Horn is possible, ca. 5 min), on the so-called "Stadtwaldweg" downhill to Gschwend. Via Rieder you go further downhill to Bühl am Alpsee. To return to the starting point, we can take the Badeweg or the more challenging Hornweg, which leads you directly under the northern wall of the Immenstädter Horn back to Immenstadt

Panoramic hike to the Siedelalpe | ca. 11 km | Medium hike

This panoramic hike gives you wonderful views of the Alpsee in the Allgäu Alps. It is also suitable for families.

From the parking lot of Hauser Strandbad, the road runs in the direction Zaumberg. In the town itself, it goes west with a constant slight rise to the Siedelalpe. Once arrived, a hearty bread meal, cool refreshments and relaxation with a beautiful panorama await. Those who want to continue can follow the Oberallgäuer Rundwanderweg from there. The way back then leads you, with a constant view of the Alpsee far below, past the Alpse Schönesreuth (restaurant, many animals) and the Alpseepromenade, to Bühl.
